Education for Development

This project is a pilot initiative for direct transformation toward responsible consumption habits in line with fair trade and different aspects of social economy –organic products, alternative currencies, agro-environmentalism, cooperativism, social inclusion and local economy– as a tool for sustainable and universalizable development.

In order to achieve these results we worked together with different collectives dedicated to solidarity-based economy and social economy. We carried out a training process that helped create and strengthen a network among them and produce a work plan that has contributed to glocal alternatives based on Good Living.

Due to its nature as a pilot initiative, the project execution has been systematized into a publication that will serve as a reference in order to replicate the experience.

Our expected result was to strengthen social economy initiatives as well as organizations that work on cooperation, volunteering and social action in Jerez. This is why they are the direct beneficiaries of the project.

To achieve this, our indicators were related to the consumption of solidarity-based economy products and services and the improvement of coordination among social economy initiatives and cooperation, volunteering and social action organizations through EfD with a gender equity approach.
